Adoption.com

We'd be remiss if we didn't include Adoption.com as one of the primary resources for the adoption process.  This is one of the most comprehensive resources available to adoptive couples on the internet.

National Adoption Foundation Grants

In addition to the excitement of possibilities, there is also much anxiety around the cost of adopting a child.  The cost to adopt a baby can range greatly from $0 to in excess of $40,000!  However, this shouldn't scare you.  There are resources out there.  The cost of adopting a child shouldn't be the barrier to starting your family, and there are options out there.  So check out the National Adoption Foundation's website for information on adoption grants and other funding options.

Adoption Support Groups

I know "support groups" tends to have a negative connotation, but it doesn't need to!  Actually, adoption support groups are very cool because they're one of the most powerful resources available to adoptive parents... as well as birth-parents. Adoption can be emotionally taxing.  Not only is it nice to know there are others out there experiencing the same thing, but moreover, these communities share resources they find with other adoptive couples.
